Is there a free trial?
Yes. The trial gives 5 days of access to Level 1 material, counted from the moment you sign up (a countdown shows the time left). Use it in one or two sittings: one full audio lesson plus its activities takes about 45 minutes.
Is it a subscription or a one-time payment?
